Bringing ethicists and scientists together in conversation, since 2025.
We are a collective of undergraduate students at Princeton University, dedicated to fostering discussions on bioethics that are accessible to individuals from all backgrounds. Here you will find more information about our group, our events and programs, and how to get involved. We’re excited to meet you!
Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Our Pillars
Our events and programs fall under the following four pillars. Each semester, we host a wide range of accessible events, from roundtables and book clubs to simulations and lectures. We hope to see you there!
Research Ethics
Should scientists edit the human germline? Can gain-of-function virus research be justified? What ethical limits should guide the use of AI in biology and medicine?
Animal and Environmental Ethics
Do humans have special moral status compared to other animals? What obligations do we owe to future generations when it comes to climate change? How should we weigh biodiversity, conservation, and human economic needs?
Medical Ethics
Who decides what counts as a “good” life or a “good” death? How should scarce medical resources be distributed in an emergency?
Bioethics at Princeton
How should we think about teaching bioethics at Princeton? Working with students, departments, and administrators across campus, we work on improving the undergraduate bioethics education on campus.
